About Chico Fence Co.

Fences and gates for Chico and the towns around it.

Chico Fence Co. does one kind of work: the fence at the edge of your yard and the gates that go with it. Fence repair, new wood, vinyl, chain link and ranch fences, and gates of every size. We keep the list short so the work stays good.

The name is simple on purpose. We wanted people in Chico to know exactly who we are and what we do the second they see it. No clever pun, no mystery. If your fence is down or your gate won't latch, you shouldn't have to wonder whether you called the right place.

What You Can Count On

  • A real look before a real price. We come out, see the job in person and put the price in writing before anything starts.
  • The cheaper fix when it works. If a repair will hold, we'll say so, even when a new fence would be the bigger job.
  • Showing up on the day we set. And calling ahead if anything changes.
  • A clean yard when we leave. Old boards, wire, concrete and scraps get hauled away.

Made for Valley Weather

Fences in the north valley take a beating. Summer afternoons push past 100 degrees and dry the wood out. Winter rain soaks the ground for months. The north wind shows up a few times a year and tests every post. And a lot of the ground around Chico is clay that swells and shrinks with the seasons. We plan for all of it: deeper posts, concrete shaped to shed water, lumber rated for ground contact and hardware that won't rust out. You won't see most of those choices on the day the job is done. You'll see them years later, when the fence is still straight.
